Gallery of Sculptural Works

I work primarily in mixed media, creating relief sculptures that speak to my understanding of the world and to the characteristics of the materials that are used. I love to consider the contrast and balance created between different materials and to utilize elements of the ordinary in my work. These relationships represent for me the complexity of life and our continuous encounter with the decisions and paradoxes of daily living. I see my work as visual storytelling – using materials and their interactions to convey ideas, stories, memories, some of which is known to me before I put the pieces together, much of which is revealed to me as the work ages.
