Things have been slow in the art department around here. Two little ones under foot makes for not a lot of art making these days. But I've been dabbling in craft making and have started an Etsy site for selling my handmade goods - whether craft or fine art. Please stop by and see what's for sale.

Chloe will lead workshops with students in grades 1-4 at Birch Grove Elementary School in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota as part of the COMPAS Global Arts program.

Chloe will be a demonstrating artist during the Art of Cuisine fundraising event for COMPAS, Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 3 PM - 6 PM at the Landmark Center in St. Paul. Tickets are $50 ($25 tax deductible) and can be purchased through COMPAS.
POST EVENT UPDATE:
The collage work titled, As I Shall Not Pass This Way Again was started and completed during the Art of Cuisine event and auctioned as part of the silent auction. The piece will now reside at Bethseda Hospital in St. Paul.

The Arts in Harmony 2009 show has concluded. The Lily Collection No. 33 received an honorable mention award. The work was also purchased by Anoka-Ramsey Community College for their permanent collection.

You, your family, and your friends are invited to the Artists' Reception for the Arts in Harmony 2009 show to be held on Sunday, February 15, from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Sherburne County Government Center located at 13880 US Highway 10 (2.5 miles west of downtown Elk River). Awards will be presented at approximately 1:45 PM and the jurors will talk about the jurying process as they saw it and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.
(Please note: Chloe may or may not be in attendance at the reception as her second child is due to join the world very close to this date.)

Chloe received acceptance notice regarding her submission to the Arts in Harmony 2009 show through the Elk River Area Arts Alliance. Two of Chloe's works, The Lily Collection No. 33 (a photograph) and Eyes Full of Sky (a collage) were among the 183 pieces accepted from 692 pieces submitted.

Chloe will lead a brief card making/collage workshop as part of the Annual Women's Christmas Tea held at First Baptist Church of Minneapolis.
